Aug. 19th, 2003 12:19 amgreetings and salutations to all who read me....
i brought my computer along with me this trip, so hopefully i'll be able to post more than usual when i'm in columbia (is this a good or bad thing?)
anyway. my trip to columbia was the longest for me EVER....my tire shredded on the way. my car seemed to be running rough and loud (my poor alligator's head kept sliding all the way to its end--i thought it was broken), so had decided that when i stopped to get gas i would look at my car to see if anything was wrong, when it made a HORRIBLE noise and felt like my tire had gone flat. so i pulled over (one mile away from the exit i'd been planning to stop at in augusta), got out of my car, and looked at the car. none of the tires were flat, so i called my mom and then they got AAA to come out. the tow truck guy told me my tire was shredded...he said that it was good i'd stopped when i did because if i'd driven on it much longer i would have had a blowout, and being the front driver's side tire, i probably would have had a horrible accident. so he towed me to pep boys and they replaced my two front tires. then i continued on my trip. i was famished and tired when i finally arrived in columbia, but at least i made it here.
my mom said that my car has a shoe fetish like me, she just had an extreme way of demanding new shoes!
we are going to get two new back tires while i'm here.
i feel like i've been busy, but haven't really done much. i dropped off some black and white film tonight, so it will be nice to see what the pictures are. they are years old.
i don't think anything particularly exciting has happened. i called the police on saturday night because of the horrible people living down the street--we have our bedroom sealed up (dave is kind of neurotic), and you could still hear their music loud and clear throughout the house. the people live about five houses away from us. i was PISSED. this was at 1 a.m. they started about midnight. i hate our stupid neighbors.
oh, and we went to see 'tomb raider' on saturday which i enjoyed because i like angelina jolie and it's always nice to see her kicking ass. and then dave said that we still had time to go see manhattan transfer at chastain since i love them soooo much.....samantha knows how much i love them...almost as much as hummel figurines!!! :P
okay, well i'm sure i'll get awakened early in the morning so i'm going to go to bed....
