Sep. 4th, 2003 10:13 pmso, i went to take that dumb test today...it takes two to three WEEKS for them to process it!!!! wtf??? i mean, most of the test was computerized. and the writing sample part was two letters to write and four paragraphs to proof read. i would be able to grade everyone's test who took it today in about two hours, i'd say.
anyway, really i'd rather get the job at the law firm, but they haven't called. of course, really what i'd rather do is get some books published so i won't have to do anything but write. and then i could be in atlanta too, or london or paris or new orleans or anywhere else i would like to be.
i'm not really sure how i feel about this new livejournal layout. also, everytime i try to type 'livejournal' i end up typing 'liverjournal'.
okay, i'm going to drink some tea and take some valerian root and write a little bit more, while simultaneously praying that i don't have insomnia again tonight. i am not getting any sleep these days. it kind of sucks.
my mom ordered candy from see's last week and it was supposed to arrive today. we checked the tracking on ups and it said it was in transit, and then we looked some more and it said it had been in west columbia since 1 p.m. yesterday. so my mom sent an email to ups--'where's my candy? i want my candy!'...her subject was 'my candy.' i was very amused. the candy arrived about 45 minutes later. all of the frozen gel packets surrounding it had melted, as had the candy. it was good she hadn't ordered chocolates or they would have been ruined. she got scotch kisses, since they were my nana's favorite candy.
i am rather looking forward to the day when my mom becomes a nana. although i don't think that there will be a pop-pop. my dad may be a granddaddy. and i don't know what david will be, or dave's parents. i wonder about these things sometimes...
anyway, i think i need to work some more on the mystery. since i was having some trouble with it earlier and i don't want to get stuck...
