Oct. 2nd, 2003 12:35 amso, i'm up late even though i have to work tomorrow. but not until 11 so i don't think being up this late is going to make a difference.
i talked to dave tonight and he emailed me bill stuff, but still hasn't mentioned the unmentionable subject of his debt....hopefully we'll be able to talk about it when i go home. i'm getting annoyed with the big elephant in the room, i must say. since we don't talk about it and it is so clearly there. and it's not like it's going to go away, at least not for another 70 years or so...or that's what i think.
anyway. i think it makes our phone conversations awkward and i'm not pleased about that, although of course he still loves me and is glad i'm coming home on friday.
i know money is a big thing, but i REFUSE to allow it to ruin my relationship. i'm just exasperated right now, but hopefully we'll be able to work through it. if i weren't wanting to get married and have kids it wouldn't be such a big deal, but i do so it is.
anyway. i like the painting i did. i'm going to get athey to take a picture of it on her camera so i can at least have a record of it, since hopefully someone will want to buy it and i'll never see it again.
my massage that i'm giving has been postponed to friday, but that's fine. i might have been tired tomorrow anyway.
okay, i think it's spa time and then bed time.
oh, and something i was thinking about tonight...the lost wax method. when i was little, i thought the lost wax method was a forgotten technique...lost 'wax method,' not 'lost wax' method.
oh, and there was a funny thing in the video catalogue...'this fantastic collection created by ken burns (now digitally remastered!)'.... oh how i love misplaced modifiers and parenthetical statements... one of my favorites of all time being a caption under a photo: boy with pig eating watermelon...and i just love the vision of a pig-eating watermelon...
