(no subject)

well, dave had his interview...he says he could have done better. but it sounds like they are still interested, and have more people to interview but they'll let him know. i really really want him to get this job. i also did an online tarot reading, which sounded pretty positive but i still need to do one on my own. not like it will prove anything, but it helps to keep me from worrying.
and i got my gmat scores back. the written section is counted separate. i got 90th percentile on that section, which makes me happy. but otherwise i pretty much sucked. above average, but not enough to get in anywhere i want to go. so no business school. that's really okay, since i'd rather go to grad school. in women's studies and music. very practical, i know, but that's really what i'd rather do.
also, in other news, my mom told me about a writing contest for a mystery. i'm going to have to finish our book by the end of may to enter it. seems like good incentive--a book deal and a $10000 advance. not a huge advance, but i will be pushy about book sales and promoting myself.
and i called blue cross blue shield today--apparently they called my mom and were very rude to her, and then they were very rude to me. why my mom thinks my working there would be a good idea i don't know. i think it would suck.
anyway....i'm going to go back to watching 'secretary' and cleaning up the downstairs...
