Apr. 20th, 2010 02:58 pmWell, at least I have some interesting things to write about if I'm going to try to write in here every day.
Today I dropped Natalee at daycare, Athey at therapy, and then was going to the library and had a car accident. I hit a woman who ran a red light. This red light was about as red as it could be--my light changed to yellow while I was in the intersection. And she just flew through and I couldn't stop in time. Neither of us was hurt--I kind of bumped my knee and my hand kind of feels like I got rug burn, but it's nothing horrible. The airbags didn't deploy, and the car doesn't look too bad but who knows? I was driving my mom's car, a 2008 Prius and the other driver had a Mercury Mystique. Her car didn't look like it had any damage. There were 4 police cars and the ambulance came as well. They decided it wasn't my fault, which it wasn't, and David (my mom's boyfriend) came to help out.
He dropped me off at the house and went back to wait for the tow truck, and I went to pick up Athey and Natalee and then we went grocery shopping.
Now we're back at home and Max is taking a nap. I don't know if I'll sleep but I am staying in bed for a couple hours. Had a rough night last night. I think I took too many different things, none of which helped with coughing, but certainly aren't helping my clarity today. Not that this in any way contributed to the accident. I don't think there was any way I could have avoided her.
Anyway, I never did make it to the library, and am back to driving my car instead of my mom's. That's fine. I'll get my book later on today, since Max and I are going to my mom's for dinner.
