Yes, Phoebe's the black one. My fiance named her after a moon. Sprite was named by a guy who collected Coca-Cola stuff, and since she was white and bubbly, he named her Sprite.
What kind of dog do you have? Phoebe's a lab-chow mix, and Sprite's a lab-Eskie.

Excellent names, Phoebe is a very unique one, it's a moon circling Saturn, isn't it?

My dog was going to be named Xander, after the series Buffy the Vampire slayer because I had a cat named Spike and my roomate had a dog named Angel (after an angel, not the vampire). I named him Echo because he has to hear a command 2 and 3 times before he responds, he's a space cadet, always has his mind somewhere else. He is a Spitz/Terrier/Rockwieler, I think at least. He acts more like a spitz, well you know, typical pound puppy. I'll see if I can find some shots of him. He hates the camera, so I don't have many shots of him.

Yes, Phoebe is one of Saturn's moons. Dave said that he wanted Phoebe to be a little moon orbiting around him, and she is. Her name was Phoenix at the pound.
Echo is a good name! Both of our dogs have to be asked to do things several times.
I think it's really hard to take pictures of black dogs because they kind of fade out of the picture. Phoebe is always like a little shadow pup.

Ha ha, that is perfect, I like Dave's reason for the name. Dogs always seem to be underfoot begging for attention. Phoenix I could see if a person believed in reincarnation, since the Phoenix symbolizes rebirth, at least in my tarot deck it did, lol.

Echo's teacher has a dog with a very cool name, mephisto. Not sure on the breed, but his shoulders were 40 inches from the ground when he was on all fours. It was sort of like seeing an Godzilla film, the dog looked too big to be real. Um.. then again, I'm not sure if it's a good thing naming a dog this big after the Faust devil.

You know, i never realized that it would be so hard to photograph a black dog, until I got Echo. Oh well, it's good for him I guess, lol.
